I just checked on my hamster, he's going to be 3 years old next month and his breathing looked a little off to me. Usually he breathes so softly in his sleep that I have to really focus to see if he's breathing, but right now he's breathing very rapidly and his whole body almost looks like it's convulsing from it. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I know he's very very old and doesn't have much longer left but I don't want him to pass from illness.
