It's all normal and understandable. I've just had the same thing with our dwarf and it took me a day or so to accept he needed to see a vet - it's a bit like a shock thing and we don't want to cause them more stress, but sometimes it's necessary and there are things we haven't actually thought of. I hope he does ok now and gets some relief. Our robo is very cross with me at the moment and runs away from me, but I put lots of treats and extras out to make up for it and he'll settle again soon I'm sure.

Your vet sounds quite good.
