Default Re: where to buy dried shrimp

I think Amazon sell them - along with crickets etc! I decided to go with freeze dried chicken instead and get these. For cats, but I looked long and hard for something that didn't have anything else added and was just freeze-dried chicken. Small pieces so ideal. They don't keep too long once the bag is opened though - 3 weeks I think. So you waste some of it - but they're not too expensive.

Rosewood also sell shrimp cookies - a nice treat maybe occasionally our hammy loved those.

I am not sure a lot of hamsters like dried insects or shellfish etc - maybe they smell funny from being preserved or something. They always seem to like fresh food though. Our last hammy regularly had fresh meat if we had it - a bit of chicken or beef (plain, no sauces or gravy) if we had a roast. He also had pheasant and grouse! Can't give it to our current syrian as he pouches it rather than eating it there and then and it would go off in his nest somewhere.
