Hamster Central - View Single Post - How often to clean a Barney with mice in?

Still weighing up my options of getting a new dwarf hamster in a couple of months or 3/4 female mice in the Barney cage. Right now one of my concerns is cleaning. I know male mice STINK and have to be cleaned out every week, but would 3/4 females in such a big cage need fully cleaning every week? Because obviously that's an insane amount of bedding and would be 4x as expensive as having a dwarf hamster that only needs a full clean once a month or longer. Can't seem to find a straight answer on the mouse forum and apparently the info they give out is very outdated.
