Thanks for all the links and pictures! I currently have a 160 litre bin. I don't have access to the exact dimensions right now but it is tall enough to allow for a 12" wheel on it's own. Just not with the depth of substrate I was planning on using.
Tbh though, it's still seems smaller than I was looking for. I'm in Canada and having a hard time finding suitable bins and an even harder time find commerical cages that have enough space. I'm thinking it might be better to build a totally DIY cage. Then I won't have issues with height or not being large enough. Especially since he's quite a large Syrian.

Has anyone done this? The only thing I'm worried about is whether or not I can make it escape proof.
