Default Dwarf hamster sleeping in playpen and odd behavior?

So my little hammy has started to play up.
She's in an Alaska cage, 4 inches of bedding, chew toy and wheel.
Age about 1 year and 3 months.
Bitting and climbing her bars and seeming more territorial.
She's in the living room and if I make a noise or talk she's right on them bars.
Even nibbling blankets and clothing when playing on my hand.
If she seems hyper.
I place her in her playpen daily, size 100 x 40 x 40cm.
She plays on the wheel and climbers her toys but less than 10 minutes later she's asleep.
I scoop her up if I spot her looking sleepy and burrowing, then place her in her cage by her bed.
If she's asleep I leave her and scoop when she's awake.

When I take her out of her playpen she starts bitting the bars and playing up.
Any advice?
