See what alpacassei means now - the slope looks like it points downwards from the inner to the outer part of the running track. May just be the angle of the photo though? If it is a bit of an angle, maybe a different cake container would work.

Actually I'd be a bit concerned about the suction cup coming off while the hamster was in the wheel.
