It isn’t that he doesn’t like you - he is just scared and hasn’t had time to build trust with you yet. Another tip - I used to find it depended what time of the evening it was as to how active or relaxed they are. Personalities vary but 6pm ish up 8pm and after 10pm our last hammy was extremely active and wanting to be off. So between 8pm and 9pm was better for out of cage time as he was in nap mode then.
