When I went to collect Noah from the pet shop, he had to be woken up, I placed his little box in the carrier and we got a taxi home. He was fast asleep, that so melted my heart and I just kept him in the carrier. He woke up after about 20 minutes and I held the carrier up at the cage door and off he went on a wander round his new forever home. He had a good sniff at everything, took some food from his dish then took cover in his coconut and I sat listening to him munching away.
I just sat by his cage talking softly to him, he looked at me a few times wondering who the hell I was and I told him I was his mom. The first couple of days, he was very nervous but, I kept talking away and praising him. The first night he slept under a heap of carefresh and I couldn't see him and thought he was in his house but, these black ears popped out and then his face emerged and I sat there with a huge grin on my face.
He's taken some treats from me through the bars. It's so wonderful having a hammy in the flat again. I'm totally smitten.
