Technically narrower bars are safer yes but that’s one thing I wouldn’t be risking again for sure! I think it would be stressful for the robo. He’ll be able to sense them so nearby much easier through bars and for a prey animal that just doesn’t sit right with me. Not that I’ve ever owned cats but I’d be rather concerned about cat claws swatting the bars.

A plastic tank cage would be fine I would’ve thought. The duna maxi multy or meshed zoozone 2 for example. The regular duna multy is a smaller upgrade which could be okay.
