Hi,

Me and my girlfriend got a new hamster two weeks ago and he is so small for a Syrian hamster - he has been absolutely fine, until yesterday we noticed his face had swollen up and has made it hard for him to see out of his eyes.

It reminds me of when my dog ate a bee and blew up like a balloon - I did try him out with some new bedding and thought whether it could be an allergy? Or is it something very serious?

I have changed his bedding now, but still no sign of the swelling going down - Is anyone familiar with this?

Our other Syrian has been fine and dandy since we had him in February this year.

Please help
