Just arrived today and I span it with my hand to test it, does it normally make a noise like a train on tracks when span? (chuga-chuga noise) Haven't waterproofed it yet so can't test it with my hamster.

I got my hamster last Monday and have been starting to tame her since Saturday by giving her food out my hand. She only takes it when you grasp it between two fingers and put it near her, if I lay it on my palm she will either just spin on her wheel on not be interested or come over and nip the edge of my palm thinking its food, when she has done this I have flinched a tiny bit so she runs back onto her wheel. Is this normal or is there something I can do better?
