Hi guys, I haven't posted anything in a while, and unfortunately I'm back for advice in a tricky situation.

A few mornings ago I noticed that Miller had a small injury close to his behind. It's hairless red and looks quite sore although he's walking fine, eating and drinking fine, and doesn't seem bothered by it. My initial reaction was to take him to the vet, but because he was acting normal I decided against it. A few days later and there are no signs of infection, and it seems to be healing nicely so I think I made the right decision.

I think the obvious conclusion as to how he got his injury is because he must have started fighting with Calvin. I really can't believe its happened because they did seem to get on so well, curl up next to each other when they were sleeping, and give each other confidence when outside of the cage.

I observed them for a few minutes and sure enough when Calvin came near he did start fighting him. I'm still not sure if I was overreacting and he was just playing, but I don't see how else Miller could have got injured, and he was avoiding Calvin and running from him before the fight started.

So I've had to separate them sadly.On the day I went straight to p@h and got a new cage, a medium plastic hamster cage, but ofc it's too small, and I only want to use it temporarily until I can get another.

I've been reading other posts and think for robos it really comes down to the barney cage and the alaska cage? Which out of the two do you guys recommend? and is there any that I have overlooked? I know that tanks are recommended however as a university student I move house almost every year and need something which can be transported easily, which I am under the impression isn't the case with tanks?
