Dreamtree gave some great aidvce! You can normally tell if they are doing because of stress or just for a bit of fun! When my past hamster was in a stressful situation he would “monkey bar” across the mesh of the cage frantically. I would think your ham just loves climbing on things which is very typical for all hams like dreetree said. Just make sure he cants fall off anything to high like dreamtree said.
