I love seeing all of your nature friends; however, I have to admit that the copperhead snake would have given me quite a fright if I was there near it. They inhabit the region of the U.S. where I live as well, and I always keep a watchful eye out for these guys and the other poisonous snake breeds. I'm glad that you weren't bitten; you definitely sound well prepared in dealing with them.

Yes, I have been horseback riding several times and used to spend several hours every weekend for years doing so. I truly love it!
I wish that I still had an opportunity to do so, but I haven't ridden a horse in a couple years now. I really miss it and hope to do it again one day soon.
