I personally would be concerned about using it in your ham's cage without your supervision because it is made with nylon and padded with imitation lamb wool. I would be afraid that although your ham does not chew it currently, it doesn't mean that your little one may not have the desire to do so later, when you aren't watching. The wool could be a choking hazard so I wouldn't take the chance. Sorry.
