Unhappy Clicking sounds

Hey guys,
I don't have any experience with hamsters, Gru is my first.
He took a while to adjust and he was very vocal the first weeks. But it's been months and he's lovely. He's not fully tamed yet, but he runs to the front of the cage when I'm around and he doesnt seem to be stressed, he is eating and drinking water normally. But since last week he started doing a clicking sound whenever he is awake and sometimes during his sleep too.
I looked it up online and some people say he is just happy, and some say he has an infecction. I dont know if I should take him to a vet or if it's nothing to worry about.
There has been no changes in his diet, or bedding that would made me think of allergies. The only change is the wheater. It's a bit colder than before, but nothing crazy. As I said, he's eating and drinking water as usual. If anything, I noticed He's a bit less active... can you guys help me? Im starting to get worried ..
