Last thought. Is her cage big enough? That can also lead to cage aggression. Our last Syrian was in an awful rotostak thing at first - the largest unit wasn't big enough and it was top access only and he would literally go for your hand if you put it in. Once moved to a larger cage he was a different hamster altogether and seemed visibly happier.
