I haven't owned a hamster since I lost Aurora back in January. Honestly thought I was done owning hamsters. In the last 14 months, I've lost nine pets and I was kind of swearing off pets altogether.
Then I checked Zooplus' hamster section. Y'know, as you do when you don't currently own a hamster nor have any intentions of getting one. Call it curiosity.
Next, I looked at my cages. One 80cm Barney, one Alaska and an Alexander. I spent a couple of hours cleaning up each cage. Tidying up cages I had no intention of using. Right.
Finally, I started lurking on here. Looking at everyone else's adorable pets. Remembered all the high points of animal keeping.
You get the idea. 1 zooplus order and a lot of cleaning, arranging and repeatedly banging my head against the Alexander resulted in this:
I hope my future friend likes it!
(The cage isn't quite complete, I'm grabbing a couple more items when I go to pick up my friend.)
