Hi & welcome to HC
The cage really isn't suitable but if it's only temporary then you could probably make it safer, it looks as though there wouldn't be far to fall if the base was full of substrate as it should be but if you can remove the tubes & block off the holes that would be better.
Pairs don't need too much space as that can encourage them to become territorial & fall out but it is important not to have any shelves or houses with less than one exit or anywhere one could trap the other or areas they might get territorial over, ideally you need two wheels & scatter feeding is preferable to using a bowl.
Do be prepared with a second cage ready at all times as most pairs do tend to fight & need separating once they mature & want their own space.
