I was planning to crochet something for my hamster (since that's what I’m good at) and was wondering if I can use cooking string made of cotton? If I understood it correctly it is just cotton fluff that is bad since they can get stuck in it and not the material in itself that is dangerous. As it is made for food it should be safe if the hamster nobbles a bit.
If this would not work do you have any suggestions of what I can use?
It is pretty stiff and I was planning to make something similar to a hay tunnel/hideout.
