A 25 inch by 14 inch bin would be much better - if it's for a dwarf hamster it may be ok - it's about 60cm by 40cm - depending on how active the hamster is. I would move her to it straight away to avoid the stress of the tiny cage. Just put her in the bin without the lid on and set it up with substrate, toys etc, until you get chance to make another one into a bin cage. Assuming it's tall enough she can't escape.
