You might need to make a lid for the bin if you have a syrian. But if your little one is a dwarf you don't need to worry about that. And like
cypher said, 21cm is good for a young syrian. It works well for a grown winter white or Campbell's as well (Not sure which hamster you have, since I can't seem to find that anywhere.) But 21cm would be a bit too big for a robo.
