I'd agree - ask for a refund. That type of hanging bridge is dangerous as the hammy can 'hang themselves ' if it jams in those gaps or get the thin strings tangled round their limbs. A lot of members use the wooden log bridges bent in to a sort of hut but these do not have strings or gaps and you do need to check them for sharp edges.
