Their isn’t anything you can do in the regards to taming to get your hamster to sleep on you.

Majority of females are way to hyper and energetic to decided to have a sleep on snooze when being handled they much rather run around and keep busy - males typical are more laid back and are more likely to have a nap whilst being handled (although it isn’t definitive).

It does depend upon their individual personality too I have owned 5 female Syrian hamsters and only one of which would feel comfortable having naps curled up beside my neck - that was my Sherbet she loved her sleep and could fall asleep almost anywhere. Where as all my other past Syrians never slept on me until they reached old age (so were nearing 2 years age) and then they enjoyed having sleep snuggled inside my clothes in the evening on the sofa.
