I've bought the Kleintier Einstreu from Fressnapf and the Migros Holzeinstreu which means wood shavings, but they didn't specifically say which or what wood shavings it is. The Migros one scripted in the back said it came from a softwood species or something.

I'm pretty sure Cedar or Pine wood shavings are extremely dangerous for Hamsters or Rodents a-like and Aspen would be a much better wood shaving.

There are certain paper based beddings but often they're more expensive than the usual ones. Well pretty much things here in Switzerland are more expensive @.@

I just checked a few Carefresh pricings on Qualipet and Amazon, I might consider buying a Carefresh Bedding which costs about 6 Euro with an additional 4 euro shipping from Amazon (Carefresh Colors, Confetti, Ultra and Natural). While Qualipet sells them for about 8 CHF (10 L) to 34 CHF (forgot how much Liter it has but it's the larger version of the 10 L) though it's only Carefresh Natural.
