Default Re: Diabetic 12 week old Campbells

Thank you! I was confusing myself! I need to check her glucose at some point tonight or tomorrow. Day 4 on baytril, and she is back to drinking a fair amount of water again. I was a little forgetful last night and forgot to weigh her water bottle. I think she drank 10 grams. I have weighed the fresh bottle tonight, so i shall see her intake tomorrow. She is no longer behaving strangely, the incessant chewing and shredding has stopped, as has the kicking up the whole cage and leaping off of everything. That was the part that was concerning me, as she appeared as though she was delirious. She is now back to "normal" so to speak, she fought me off 5 times with the baytril today, up until today, she was taking it very well and behaving. She obviously feels a little better as she wasn't wanting it today. I am keeping everything crossed at the moment and monitoring her daily. That's all I can do at the moment. But I take my feelings out of the equation when it comes to my pets. If I feel at any time her quality of life is affected, then I will have to make a decision. But right now I am going on a day to day basis.
