It depends on the height and bar spacing probably. If it's very tall there would be fall risks - ie risk of injury - but you could make a full level out of a piece of wood to get round that. The bar spacing needs to be 1cm or less or they can either escape or get stuck in the bars. Which cage is it? Do you have details?
