It's always best to take them out when they're already awake if you can but if she does get up too late then gently waking her is ok, do you have a routine feeding time? If you can get her used to coming out at a certain time when you put food in the cage, making gentle noises so she knows what you're doing if need be then you might be able to get her to come out early of her own accord. You can try doing this just slightly before her normal waking time & very gradually make it earlier till you reach a time that works for both of you.
