Default Re: when should i clean certain things?

If he's peeing in the sand then you can remove any damp clumps daily & you shouldn't need to clean the whole thing very often, if he's putting his food in the sand then just leave it there.

It's normal for them to have a hoard somewhere & as long as he doesn't take any fresh wet food & try to stash that then you can just leave it alone.

Just spot clean the cage, removing any pee for at least a few weeks, you shouldn't need to do a full cage clean ever really unless you have a very small cage, you can just clean one part of the cage every few weeks.
Unless he's peeing in his nest then leave that alone, if you do have to clean it after a few weeks then always put back some of the old nest material.
Tubes shouldn't need cleaning often if at all.
You don't need to do that much cleaning with hams & cleaning which takes away their scent can be quite stressful so particularly with a young new ham the less you can do the better.
