She may have been enjoying her free range time and wanted to come back out. It’s hard to tell why they do things sometimes.

Try to make her cage interesting. Hiding food/treats and have hides cardboard tubes and chew toys/whimzee chew. Hopefully by giving her other things to do will distract her from bar chewing.
