You can check the hoard from time to time, not too often but just keep an eye on it as they need a hoard but you can cut back on food just a little if the hoard gets too big, other than that if you feed the normal amount & at least most of it has gone each day or few days depending on how often you feed, your ham is healthy & weight is stable you really don't need to worry.
