Yes I would hold off. It can be stressful for them having vet visits. Even a substrate change is a "change" but sounds like it has gone down well. If the fur is growing back now it does suggest it may have been an allergy. Keep an eye on whether she is still scratching a lot. If not, then I doubt it's mites. I believe they scratch themselves sore with mites. They do do a lot of normal scratching as part of grooming, often behind the ears, which used to worry me at one point, but it's quite normal.
Hair loss isn't normal really. Just keep an eye on it. I would definitely not use the disinfectant again though. Cypher also has some useful tips for helping hair growth condition
