Female Syrians tend to be larger than males, but there's still a big range. Syrians are generally 100g-200g, though many will reach over 200g. Pet shop hams tend to be smaller than hamsters from a breeder. For example, the breeder I got my last hamster from has a female who weighs 380g! And many others who are only a bit smaller. As you can see, it's hard to predict the size of any given hamster. The size of their parents will give an indication, as will their current weight and age.
