I’m so sorry that you lost Botan. But, you are doing the right thing to keep your cat shut out of Ceclia’s room as unfortunately accidents such as this happen all too often. I’d recommend not letting the cat in, even when you are there, are the smell of cat cat ve stressful to hamsters and your cat will feel frustrated by being unable to get at a prey animal. I always keep the door to my hamster room shut so my cats cannot get inside. I hope that Ceclia goes some way to filling the void and making you feel better.
