Default Re: Food transition

Personally, And I have switched my hammies food a few times. I would use the food they were already on, then put a pinch of the new one in and mix it in the bowl, then gradually just worked the old mix in with the new in a tub. Then when that was empty, I just gave them the new food. Syrian's you have to be more careful with, due to them being prone to wet tail. I thought that dwarfs couldn't get wet tail, but they can still suffer upset tummy. So I did the same with my robos food. The only reason I switched the food, was because they really didn't like the old food. My Syrian is on a mix of Harry Hamster (Hazel Hamster/Tiny friends Farm...they keep changing the name) And Burgess, with a handful of sunflower seeds, handful of mealworm per 1 litre storage tub. I recently phased out Wagg, as they didn't like that, and I found out it had grape in it.
