It has a lovely big front opening door and it's a good height for a dwarf hamster as it's a fairly low cage at about 36cm tall inside. I think it would work best starting with an empty cage, as Fluffagrams did. The plastic shelves and bits and pieces (eg the little houses on them) just make it difficult to fit in proper houses and wheels, plus they're maybe not suitable for a dwarf. Most people end up removing all the plastic contents, tubes and penthouse. Although you could use a couple of the tubes as floor toys inside the cage.
