Thank you Souffle! I see what you mean about his face. It's funny, because as you can see in this picture of him taken two weeks ago by his breeder, he did used to have more ticking on his face and more clear eye rings.

Here he is this morning, for comparison:

Why would the markings on his face have changed like that?

Interesting what you say about him moulting out his baby coat. Out of curiosity, where is his moult line? I can't see it! And, when will he finish moulting out his baby coat?
