Ok, now I'm back to doing the LNNMON/HEMNES hack, but doing it double length and ordering precut, pre-hole drilled plexiglass (instead of two Hemnes table tops sealed down the centre, which would disrupt the view).
I want a lidless cage if possible, and I know I definitely want a Syrian next (preferably ginger, so I can call him Jasper Carrot
), so I want the extra width and height on the cage..
The total inner dimensions would be (in cm) L200 x H46.6 x D56.6
Need to figure out how I'd make the centre joins stable.
The plexiglass quote, predrilled and polished with screws and chrome caps, is £68 approx, including delivery. The cost of the LINNMON table tops is £25 for five.
Then I'd need aquarium sealant, table leg fixtures and table legs x 6, other bits and pieces which will undoubtedly add up...
