Default Re: Which dog treats are safe?

There should be no biproducts, derivatives, digest,or unspecified liver or any other unspecified biproducts including meat and bone meals of any sort. You also shouldn't have any unspecified preservatives or BHA/BHT/ethoxyquin(known to cause cancer) nor should there be any artificial dyes or flavors. There should also be no artificial sweeteners or processed sugars(sorbitol, maltodextrin, dextrose, etc).Propyle ne glycol(used in the making of antifreeze)is another frequently overlooked ingredient which is absolutely not safe.

Other than that, treats must never be irradiated or come from China. They shouldn't be from any sort of sketchy company, although I can't be sure what sort of companies like that would exist in Russia

Also be certain that if they are to be shared with dogs or cats they don't have any corn or wheat,as these are two horrible things for dogs and cats(incredibly difficult to digest,no nutritional value, and more often than not causes some sort of reaction whether obvious like rashes or often ignored like a greasy feeling coat or paw licking etc).
