As long as it is a wheel that is cage mountable, you could drill a hole in the side of the bin and attach a wheel spindle throught it that way. An 8" wodent wheel would be good, but they are very hard to get hold of in the Uk these days. Not sure how well the stand would fit round an outside corner on a bin though as bin edges tend to be curved.

An easier option would be the 9" silent runner. It actually has a bolt that goes through a hole and is fixed in place with fixing plates. It's a good wheel for a dwarf hammy as it's light and spins easily, despite being 9". But I believe one robo owner said the holes are a bit big for robos.

I would try with an 8" wodent wheel. It's about half the price as well. You'd probably need to make more small holes to put cable ties through to hold the stand in place.

Another option might be to have a platform that the wheel could stand on, so your hammy can still burrow underneath. You could make one with just a piece of wood and some dowels for legs. Or Rodipet sells one that an 8" wodent wheel actually fits on top and is held down.

The Germans call the 20cm (8") wodent wheel "the robowheel" as it's a good wheel for them. 14.95 euros converts to £12.85. It's the postage that adds to the cost - it's about £8. They sell the wodent wheels as well in various colours, but it's a bit cheaper at pet planet. If you got one from Rodipet with a platform, you'd only pay one lot of postage though. It seems to be a flat rate however much you order. You can use google translate to translate bits of web pages

It's a slightly more expensive option than drilling holes in the bin cage but less fiddly and the wheel would be sturdy, plus have digging space under it.
