Default Re: Moving Bernie around?

Hi Tyler and welcome to HC.
Here on the forum, we don't judge but will offer advice.
Congratulations on Bernie.
Whenever you do these travels always ensure she has substrate and bedding from her cage, familiar smells are important to hammies, extra comfort and placiing cucumber or piece of fruit in the carrier to ensure she's kept hydrated. Your last hammy Loki adapted well and even though all hammies are different, I would do what you did with Loki when travelling. I would suggest you do the tissue trick in her cage and travels. Stuff a load of unscented toilet paper up your sleeves and leave for a couple of hours and then place in her cage and also in the carrier when travelling, do this everyday for a week. You could continue to do when travelling. This gets her familiar with your scent and it's a great way of bonding.
