This may be totally off topic, but looking at her palm pressed up to the plastic in that third photo reminded me of something. All the books say that hamsters only have four fingers/toes on their front paws. But, as is obvious in Marty’s photo, it looks more as though they have four and a half because there is a little stump on the side. I wonder if they are evolving thumbs
