I wouldn't worry about them getting sick, but I also wouldn't give it to them in the future. Citrus and orange isn't good to have, but scented things should be avoided as well because it often means artificial chemicals have been used. Like chesca suggested, I'd return it for just plain millet. I use the Higgins packaged brand
