I'm so sorry to hear about Maisie's injury!! But, I'm glad that it's not broken. Tell her to get well soon from me and a Mushu.
My Mushu has a cold, so I have been syringe feeding him meds since Friday. Not fun
hope your Maisie's anti inflammatories taste better than his Baytril antibiotics for both your sakes! If she doesn't hate the taste, you could try getting her to take them mixed with baby food, porridge or wet cat food. Those methods unfortunately failed for me as Mushu could smell the Baytril a mile off, but if Maisie will take them that way it might be less stressful.
Oh and don't blame yourself. It is not your fault, and you did exactly the right thing taking her to the vets. She is lucky to have such a caring owner.
