The hammies have labels on their cages with their name, date of birth and breeder (or litter name if bred here). I've popped stickers on their quarantine cages until I can print and laminate more cage labels.

I use naming themes which helps when choosing a name (unless they've already been named by their breeder, or by someone else in the case of Dobby the duprasi and Queenie the Syrian). The normal Chinese names come from the Discworld books, the BEW/dom spot Chinese names are Isle of Wight place names, the duprasi are named for stars or constellations and the winter white names are birds.
