Mushu must really trust you and love you to fall asleep in your hands!!
Humphrey won't fall asleep in my hands, he thinks there are more exciting things in the world (like treats and escaping and having a run round on the floor and making us catch him- luckily he usually comes to you if you sit still, hold out a treat and call his name) than falling asleep.... Humphrey is really tame and friendly though, he tries his best to make sure he doesn't have to resort to biting (i think I've already mentioned that he pushes your hand away with his little paws!).
I agree that with the right treatment and respect, almost any animal can make a great pet!

I've heard that male hamsters are more laid-back and less bitey than the females!
