Hi, I've been reading this forum for 4 months in anticipation of getting our hamster, who we picked up yesterday! I boughtqTeddy Hazel hamster, based on the recommendations here, and received some mazuri rodent 6f pellets from the breader to help transition his diet. Since Teddy is only about 6 weeks old, I know I'll have to supplement his food with extra protein since he's young. My question is, should we leave the hazel hamster mix in his bowl all the times? The breeder said that hamsters won't overeat. He hasn't seemed to touch it yet, but has taken the mazuri pellets into his little hidie hole. Also, is giving him fresh protein better than freeze dried or meal worms? Thank you all! I feel like I did so much research for the last 4 months, but the information is overwhelming!
