My hamster Duncan is super cuddly, he's the calmest hamster I've ever had! He'll fall asleep in my hand after a few minutes of exploring a bit. I think it's up to your hamster as an individual as well as how old they are and how tame they are. Young hamsters tend to be full of energy and won't sit still for even a second. However, an older hamster may be a bit less antsy. I've also had hamsters though that want nothing to do with me at all! It really all comes down to each hamster
