They also sell Chipsi bedding which is part pine, part spruce and I believe some German owners use that. Spruce is equivalent to hardwood. The only thing is, it doesn't specify what percentage is pine and what percentage spruce.
But there are lots of alternatives - the hemp on Zooplus (Hugro or Siccofloor - I think Hugro is better).

Rodipet also sell Hugro hemp, plus they sell birchwood shavings (hardwood). They also sell Miscanthus bedding but I believe that's a bit scratchy. Once you look on that site you'd better hide your purse!
